Veronica Azua
Veronica Azua is an organisational psychologist, executive coach and leadership development consultant. Born and raised in Argentina, she began her career as a psychotherapist before moving into organisational psychology and leadership development. For almost two decades, Veronica has worked with senior leaders across global organisations, helping them navigate leadership transitions, build confidence and lead with greater authenticity.
She has designed, facilitated and delivered international leadership development programmes for organisations including: DLA Piper, EY, IE Business School, JPMorgan, KPMG, London Business School, LVMH, Sainsburys and Vodafone Driven by a long-standing interest in the psychology of leadership, Veronica completed a doctorate exploring the impact of self-criticism on leaders. Her research focuses on the origins of self-doubt, the inner critic and the Impostor Phenomenon, and how these shape leaders’ experiences and relationships at work.
Veronica regularly presents her research to professional and academic audiences and, since establishing her independent consultancy in 2021, has worked internationally delivering executive coaching, leadership development, team effectiveness programmes and keynote talks on self-criticism, impostor feelings and compassionate leadership. Through her work, Veronica seeks to help leaders loosen the grip of the inner critic and develop a more compassionate, grounded relationship with themselves. She believes that sustainable leadership does not come from silencing the inner critic, but from transforming their relationship with it.
